She
hails from California where she grew up dabbling in many forms of dance from jazz and tap to ballet and hip hop. While attending the University of California, Santa Cruz (where she received her BA in Community Studies with College Honors and Phi Beta Kappa,) Katie discovered modern dance. From there she went on to dance professionally in Los Angeles with Carol Solomon Dance Company, and in San Francisco with Company Chaddick, Strong Current, EmSpace, Dance Elixir, Printz Dance Project and Dance Continuum SF. In New York, she has had the pleasure of dancing for Darcy Naganuma, Randy James, Maria Colaco, Jana Hicks, Marijke Eliasberg and Shen Wei. More recently Katie has toured with KDNY and performed with BARKIN/SELISSEN Project. Currently, she dances with Chris Ferris and Isabel Gotzkowsky & Friends.
Katie is thrilled to be collaborating and dancing with her partner, Seth Miner. She looks forward to many more silly-pants dances with him.
